Job Summary: 

Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) has Adjunct Counseling Teaching Opportunities to work under the learning college philosophy (http://www.estrellamountain.edu/learning-college) and placing learning first anyway, anyplace, anytime. 

Essential Functions: 

Teaches a diverse population of students by incorporating multiple methods of instruction and assessment in a classroom and/or lab setting, online or hybrid, accelerated, and other alternative schedules and formats

Develops written syllabi/course materials, evaluates student knowledge of subject matter taught and maintains course grades, prepares and grades exams and other assignments

Maintains office hours to assist and advise students; develops and enhances knowledge of subject matter taught and individual teaching skills required to maintain current with new trends and developments in the field of Counseling through attendance at conferences, courses, seminars and/or workshops or through personal study and journal review; participates in developing new courses within the division and district; participates in Division, Campus and Districtwide committees and activities; participates in divisional activities; performs related duties commensurate to the level of the position

Minimum Qualifications: 

Masters Degree in Counseling.

Desired Qualifications: 

Masters Degree in Counseling and experience teaching CPD150 in MCCD
