Job Summary: 

Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is hiring a part-time Maintance to work under a Learning College philosophy (http://www.estrellamountain.edu/learning-college)  where learning happens anytime, anyway, any place. This positon performs minor maintenance, repairs, and event set ups to enable proper operation of facilities.

Essential Functions: 
  • Maintains and performs minor repairs for mechanical and plumbing

  • Assists with remodeling

  • Assists craft workers in completion of maintenance work orders

  • Responds to worker order requests and/or emergency calls

  • Adheres to applicable policies and procedures

  • Keeps assigned tools and/or equipment in clean and safe working condition

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: 

Training and Experience: High School Diploma or GED and one year of building maintenance or directly related experience.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D Driver’s License.

Desired Qualifications: 
  • Knowledge of principles, practices, methods and techniques of maintenance, plumbing, painting, and housekeeping 
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and repetitive motions.

Heavy Work:  Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body.
