Job Summary: 

Working under a learning college philosophy (http://www.estrellamountain.edu/learning-college) and placing learning first anyway, anyplace, anytime. The person in this position will provide a variety of support services via an internship at the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), the professional development area of the college serving all college employees. Among the projects the federal work-study student will assist with include producing, editing, and managing audio and video files, developing digital banners and icons, data entry and analysis, as well as other jobs as assigned.

Essential Functions: 

Essential Functions: 20% Assist CTL A/V Tech with setting up video technologies (camcorders, microphones, video lights, etc.) for media projects (live event recordings and instructional videos) to be created for EMCC faculty and staff. 20% Prepare A/V equipment for room reservations. Including set-up and breakdown of laptops, projectors and microphones for events and workshop trainings. 20% Develop digital banners, icons, and logos for use in course development and production. 20% Perform data entry and analysis using Microsoft or Google software applications (word processing, spreadsheets, and forms). 20% Provide quality customer service by responding to customer requests via in-person, telephone, and email. Performing other duties as assigned.

Prerequisites: 

Desired Qualifications

Experience providing direct front-line customer service in person and/or by phone Photography, audio, or video capturing experience prefered Video editing skills Graphic image editing (e.g.,Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Strong personal computer skills Experience organizing and prioritizing work

Minimum Requirements: 

Student applicants must be eligible for Federal Work Study Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credits for the current semester and have all Financial Aid paperwork complete and on file with the EMCC Financial Aid Office. Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) or G Suite (Google drive, docs, sheets, etc.) Evidence of past reliability Evidence of the ability to take direction and having a willingness to learn
