Job Summary: 

Working under a learning college philosophy (http://www.estrellamountain.edu/learning-college) and placing learning first anyway, anyplace, anytime. The person in this position will provide graphic design support and office administrative assistance via an internship at the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), the professional development area of the college serving all college employees. Among the projects, the federal work-study student will assist with include developing digital banners and icons, data entry and analysis, as well as other jobs as assigned.

Essential Functions: 
  • 75% Develop digital banners, icons, and logos for use in course development and video production.

  • 15% Perform data entry and analysis using Microsoft or Google software applications (word processing, spreadsheets, and forms).

  • 10% Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: 
  1. Student applicants must be eligible for Federal Work Study

  2. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credits for Fall 2018 and have all Financial Aid paperwork complete and on file with the EMCC Financial Aid Office

  3. Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) or G Suite (Google drive, docs, sheets, etc.)

  4. Evidence of past reliability

  5. Evidence of ability to take direction and having a willingness to learn

Desired Qualifications: 
  1. Graphic image editing (e.g.,Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

  2. Strong personal computer skills

  3. Experience organizing and prioritizing work

Special Working Conditions: 
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time working at the computer

  • May have to lift 25 lbs.
