The West Valley Arts Council is seeking an Exhibit Assistant Intern to provide support for
the management of the organization’s exhibits

Duties and Responsibilities: 
  •  Maintain call for artists, schedules, and hanging for rating art exhibits in various West Valley locations
  •  Hang and assist with curating the exhibits
  •  Assist with patching and painting
  •  Create information labels and signage for exhibits
  •  Arrange the return of artwork (i.e. call and email artists)
  •  Help with setting up and cleaning up exhibit receptions
  •  Data entry
  •  Occasionally climb tall ladders and work
  •  Occasionally assist in art projects for the gallery
  •  Performing other duties as assigned
  •  Background in the arts preferred
  •  Excellent oral and written communication skills
  •  Strong organizational and computer abilities
  •  Self-starter and ability to work well with others
  •  Must be comfortable with heights
  •  Must be able to lift 50lbs
Minimum Requirements: 
  • Avaliable 10-15hrs weekly
  • Current EMCC student 
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Reliable Transportation
