Job Summary: 

Working under a learning college philosophy (https://www.estrellamountain.edu/learning-college) and placing learning first anyway, anyplace, anytime. The person in this position will provide clerical, reception, and program/event assistance to this office. Student will be responsible for general reception, clerical, and program/event support for the Dean of Students Office and other departments that report through the Office. Student will perform office support functions such as data entry, typing, filing, copying, answering phone calls, and general program/event support. Essential Functions: 

50% Program/Event preparation, support, and participation

25% Maintain calendars, scheduling, taking meeting notes, and assisting with communication efforts

10% General reception by providing quality customer services by telephone, email, and in person.

10% Provides general clerical support such as typing, filing, shredding,

5%  Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: 

1. Student applicants must be Federal Work Study Students and be enrolled for Fall 2019. Student must have all Financial Aid paperwork on file with the EMCC Financial Aid Office.

2. Experience working in a customer service related position

3. Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ability to work in fast-paced, stressful environments.

Some evening hours may be required.

The individual is expected to represent the college and interact with different departments, students, employees, and guests in a polite, helpful and professional manner. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, have excellent customer service and communication skills.
