This is an opportunity for past WAESO students in soccer analytics to put together a draft for publication in the Journal of Student Research. You need to have participated in one of the soccer analytics WAESO program ran by Dr. Posta during the past two Academic Years. This program will give you an edge over other graduates by preparing you to:

  • Organize your results into a manuscript.
  • Prepare publication-quality materials (tables, figures, etc.).
  • Add scholarly work to your curriculum.

The internship is eligible for a $500 WIRCCS Scholarship that requires an interview (which can be done over the phone) and will be paid in connection with a one-credit course.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Interns will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Meeting virtually once a week to discuss progress and manuscript revisions.
  • Work regularly on the manuscript for timely submission.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the group.
  • Work a weekly journal documenting the internship’s progress.
  • Enroll in a 1-credit elective course that is used by EMCC to create this opportunity.

Minimum Requirements: 
  • Students must have participated in the soccer analytics WAESO program for at least a semester
  • Must be a current EMCC student
  • Have a min 2.5 GPA
