Description: 

You will have the opportunity to assist the West Valley Arts Programs Director with managing educational and senior programs, and gain valuable hands-on programming experience, knowledge, and skills. Your input is always appreciated as we seek to work together and bring creative ideas and quality educational programming to our schools and communities.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

You will support the Programs Director with:

  • Specific program needs:
    • Track confirmed performer/PD schedules and times
    • Follow up emails as directed
    • Maintaining and tracking program surveys
    • Update forms/info as directed
    • Track completed forms/guideline/applications for AA, CA, G37 interests
    • Schedule interviews
    • Research WV events, teachers, acts, schools
    • Support with pick up and drop off of supplies as necessary
    • Set-up and takedown of CA classes and/or workshops
  • Marketing educational programs:
    • Create content for social media, direct mail, email
    • Distribute print and digital marketing materials
    • Research and assist with developing marketing presentations
    • Prepare detailed promotional presentations
    • Monitor all social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback
  • Help with the planning, coordinating, and hosting events on or offsite
  • Manage and update WVA’s customer relationship management systems (CRM)
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements: 
  • Currently enrolled or continuing EMCC student
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Must have completed at least one semester at Maricopa Community Colleges
  • Familiarity with Google Suite and capability to learn and use various applications
  • Able to assist with and create marketing presentations
  • Have a flexible work schedule
  • Adept in multitasking and ability to take initiative
  • Hardworking and dedicated outlook
  • Experience with content creation a plus, even if not professionally
  • Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have a passion for the arts and education

Internship will be one semester long; preference is for intern to commit to two semesters, if possible

Work Hours:
M, T, W, Th, F, anytime between 9-5pm (5-15 hours per week, depending on needs).
Working conditions will be on site and remote (depending on needs).
