Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is hiring Testing Technician Staff – Temp Level 1 to work under the learning college philosophy (http://www.estrellamountain.edu/learning-college) where learning happens anytime, anyway, any place. This position will provide customer service assistance in a professional environment to current and prospective students.
80% - Administer a variety of exams to students and community members including placement exams, credit by examination, and degree-specific exams; advises students of testing schedules and procedures; provides general clerical assistance including typing, filing, answering phones, and processing incoming/outgoing mail
10% - Maintain confidentiality and security of materials and information; learns to use computer systems and equipment
10% - Perform related duties as assigned
1. Experience working with computers to include databases and spreadsheets, and a willingness to learn other software applications
2. Strong attention to detail
3. Experience establishing and maintaining accurate records
4. Experience following written and oral directions
5. Experience maintaining highly confidential materials
6. Experience providing effective and courteous customer service
7. Experience establishing and maintaining cooperative professional relationships
Associate's degree preferred; fluency in Spanish a plus.
Selected candidate must complete exam-specific training and pass certification exams.
