Estrella Mountain Community College is hiring an Evening/Saturday Support to work under the Learning College Philosophy where learning happens anyway, anytime, anyplace. This position provides evening and some Saturday coverage for the Academic Success Center and the Computer Commons. This position may be shared between two individuals.
90% Provides in-person evening support for the Academic Success Center and the Computer Commons. Works with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff. Monitors/observes the activities of the building and notifies supervisor or College Police as appropriate. Provides daily status of building/department and recommendations to the supervisor; assists with departmental inquiries.
5% Works with supervisors to monitor help desk requests.
5% Prepares a variety of forms and reports; performs other duties as assigned.

Associates’ degree required and up to three (3) years of related work experience, or the equivalent.

Working knowledge of a Learning Management System such as Canvas or Blackboard.

Experience working with diverse cultures.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Experience providing quality service in a time-sensitive environment.

Experience working in an educational setting.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and up to three (3) years’ related work experience, or the equivalent, with 2 years of supervisory experience.

Experience using Learning Management Systems, such as Canvas or Blackboard, and PeopleSoft Systems.

Experience working in an institution of higher education.

Must be dependable and available during peak times throughout the semester. This position aligns with semester class schedules and does not work during intersession periods.
