Job Summary: 

Working under a learning college philosophy (http://www.estrellamountain.edu/learning-college) and placing learning first anyway, anyplace, anytime. STEM Ambassadors will provide a variety of support services to the EMCC STEM CoE (Center of Excellence). STEM Ambassadors will conduct both on- and off- campus outreach. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support the vision of the college and STEM CoE.

Essential Functions: 
  • 75%- Outreach working with current students and potential future students

  • 15% Assists with STEM outreach; STEM demonstrations and promoting STEM programs

  • 5%- Meets with STEM Faculty, virtually and in-person to create presents, and workshops, to offer support to STEM Programs.

  • 5% Maintain accuracy of student log-in records; performs data entry

Minimum Qualifications: 
  1. Pursuing a STEM degree

  2. Possess effective verbal and written communication skills

  3. Familiar with basic computer knowledge

  4. High school diploma or GED

  5. Eligibility for Federal Work Study

Desired Qualifications: 
  1. Experienced in Experience working in a team oriented environment

  2. Experience handling confidential information

  3. Experience multitasking in a busy office setting
