Job Summary: 

The Academic Success Center is hiring several Desk Assistants to provide reliable clerical assistance and outstanding customer service to students, staff and the community.

Essential Functions: 

65% Greets and logs students in and out for Center usage; provides front-line customer service and clerical assistance and information to students, staff and visitors. 20% Maintain accuracy of student log-in records; performs data entry 15% Connects students with tutors; stocks center with materials; performs duties commensurate to position; other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: 

1. Applicants must have all Financial Aid paperwork complete and on file with the EMCC Financial Aid office, be eligible for Federal Work Study and enrolled for Fall 2023/Spring 2024 2. Possess great customer service and effective verbal and written communication skills 3. Familiar with computer applications (MS Office, Google workspace) or successful completion ("A" or "B") in CIS105.

1. Experience multi-tasking ina busy office setting 2. Experience working in a team oriented environment 3. Experience organizing and prioritizing work 4. Experience handling confidential information.
