**This particular internship is a partnership with Dress for Success and Estrella Mountain Community College and is only offered to EMCC students. Dress for Success Phoenix (www.phoenix.dressforsuccess.org) is seeking interns for a variety of positions: 
  • Fashion Stylist
  • Personal Shopper 
  • Career Specialist 
  • Inventory Specialist 
  • Makeup Specialist 
Successful candidates must be current students working towards a degree related to the position of their interest. This is an UNPAID internship. The company has asked that the intern work approximately 10 hours per week. This opportunity is only available to Estrella Mountain Community College students. Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Fashion Stylist: you will be responsible for assisting women select business appropriate outfits that best fit their personality in the business world. Must be creative and have the ability to multitask on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Shopper: The primary responsibility of a Personal Shopper is to suit clients for interviews and employment. We also expect Personal Shoppers to act as the first point of contact for clients--welcoming them; encouraging them to make use of as many of our programs and services as possible; and making reminder and follow-up calls. Personal Shoppers are responsible for keeping the boutique neat and organized and completing the appropriate paperwork to document what items were given to each client during her suiting.
  • Career Specialist: The primary responsibility of a Career Specialist is to assist clients in applying for employment and preparing for interviews. Career Specialists may: assist/teach the client to complete job applications online; work with the client to refine her resume; assess the client's media presence and educate the client; conduct mock interviews; or anything else that will help to prepare the client for a successful interview. Career Specialists are expected to keep the Career Center clean and organized.
  • Inventory Specialist: The primary responsibility of an Inventory Specialist is to receive, sort, and organize incoming donations and keep the overflow inventory area clean and organized. Inventory Specialists are the first point of contact for donors and are expected to assist donors in completing tax receipts.
  • Makeup Specialist: The primary responsibility of a makeup artist is to complete the client's overall look by educating the client about basic makeup application techniques so that the client has a clean, polished look appropriate for an interview or for work. Makeup Artists are responsible for keeping the makeup area neat and organized.
Minimum Requirements: 
  • Must be a current EMCC student 
  • Have and maintain a min of a 2.5 GPA
  • Must commit 6 months to 1 year of service and approx. 20 hours per week 
  • Positive, motivated
  • Resume Savvy
  • Have an eye for fashion
  • Must have an outgoing personality.
  • Excellent sense of fashion for business environment.
  • Be courteous and respectful.
  • Multitask and work with minimal supervision.
  • Remain organized.
  • Be able to think independently.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and respect toward others.
  • Communicate with good written and verbal skills.
  • Current enrollment in Estrella Mountain Community College and has a student ID.
