The Event Management Intern will be assisting with management and coordination of weddings, proms and corporate events. Other duties will include  assisting with marketing to potential clients. The employer would like assistance with starting a blog and managing a blog.  Students are asked to work about 20 hours per week and pay will be per project. Applicants must be continuing EMCC students and have a minimum of 2.5 G.P.A or a recommendation from your SWSC instructor. Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Creating marketing materials that will attract the right brides and corporate events.
  • Marketing for events.
  • Creating and maintaining a blog
  • Assisting with events
Minimum Requirements: 
  • Must be able to communicate first and foremost
  •  Maintain the event, manage vendors
  • Proactive in seeing an issue that needs to be completed, share ideas, organize the logistic
  • Follow up on details that will be needed, able to multi-task 
  • Able to demonstrate professionalism when there may be a conflict,
  • Able to break down problems that are manageable,
  • Works independently and takes responsibility for actions
  • Has a 'can do' attitude and is able to work productively in the face of unclear guidelines.
