Perry Consulting needs assistance with "day of" events. By applying, you are willing to be flexible and assist when Perry Consulting needs assistance during events. This is an opportunity to gain first hand experience in the special event industry. Learn all the work leading up to event day and what it takes to make events successful.
 

Great what to gain practical experience and see if you have what it takes to build a career in the event industry. The company has asked that the intern work for approximately 10 hrs. per week for 6 weeks and will be flexible with your EMCC schedule. Applicants must be continuing EMCC students and have a minimum of 2.5 G.P.A or a recommendation from your SWSC instructor. Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Pre-event office prep work
  • Some clerical duties (typing, answering phones, filing)
  • Assist with event set-up and break down
  • Assist with site décor
  • Collaborate with vendors onsite to ensure continuity and flow of the event
  • Provide excellent customer service to Perry Consulting clients and their guest
  • Proactive communication with Event Manager to ensure seamless event management
  • Provide administrative support to Event Manager
Minimum Requirements: 
  • Customer service experience
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform designated duties with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills and quick creative thinking are critical
  • Skilled in establishing effective working relationships
  • Must work well under pressure
  • Skilled at MS Office programs
