This opportunity is for those interested in pursuing a broadcast career 9n the area of producing talk programs.
The program fo4 which the student will be producing is hosted by Mike Siegel for the Genesis Communication Network. It is aired weeknights from 7-10 P.M. Pacific Time and is syndicated nationally.
Genesis Communication Network is the largest on line talk radio network and airs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with live programming.
The chosen student will be able to build experience in the following areas:
1. Researching issues to be discussed on the program.
2. Recommending and booking guests on topics to be discussed on the program.
3. Recommending topics for discussion on the program.

The student can work during a schedule they choose so that it fits within their academic schedule at Estrella Mountain.
Mike Siegel is a veteran talk show host with 4 decades in the industry. He also holds a Ph.D. in Communication and had held Professor of Communication positions at Emerson College in Boston and Fitchburg State University in Fitchburg MA. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in considering the possibility of a broadcast career as a Producer.

Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Student will work virtually from home or from EMCC campus 
  • Book Guests For Radio Talk program
  • Research Topics For Radio Talk Program
  • Review Current Issues For Possible Program Topics

Minimum Requirements: 
  • Currently enrolled at EMCC 
  • Plan to pursue a degree in communications, production, broadcasting, or related field 
  • Able to work a minimum of 5 hours per week 
  • Have access to a computer (student can work from EMCC campus)
