Job Summary: 

Estrella Mountain Community College is hiring multiple Desk Assistants to work under the Learning College Philosophy where learning happens anyway, anytime, anyplace. These positions provide reliable clerical assistance and outstanding customer service in the Academic Success Center.

Essential Functions: 

65% Greets and logs students in and out for Center usage; provides front-line customer service; provides clerical assistance; performs data entry

20% Answers/routes incoming calls and schedules tutoring appointments

15% Connects students with tutors; stocks center with materials; performs duties commensurate to grade level of position

Minimum Qualifications: 
  1. Possess customer service orientation
  2. Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  3. Familiar with basic computer knowledge, including MS Office
Desired Qualifications: 
  1. Applicants must be eligible forĀ Federal Work Study
  2. Experience multi-tasking in a busy office setting
  3. Experience working in a team oriented environment
  4. Experience handling confidential information
